Application Form Builder
The Application form editor (under Configuration) lets you decide exactly what information applicants provide. You build the form with a structured field editor — no code or raw configuration required.
How it works
Each field you add has:
- A label — what the applicant sees. You can provide the label in multiple languages (English, Arabic, Swedish) so applicants see it in their own language.
- A type — for example short text, longer text, a number (such as age), or a select (a dropdown with options you define).
- For select fields, the options the applicant can choose from.
- A unique field id, used internally to keep answers consistent. Field ids must be unique across the form.
The form ships with sensible defaults (such as name, age, and parent/contact details). You can add, edit, reorder, or remove fields to suit your school.
Editing the form
- Open Application form.
- Add fields, set their labels and types, and add select options where needed.
- Save.
Saving creates a new version of your form. Each application records the version it was submitted against, so older applications still make sense even after you change the form later.
Best practices
- Collect only what you need. Shorter forms get more completed applications.
- Use select fields for things with a fixed set of answers (e.g. preferred level, time slot).
- Translate labels if you serve applicants in more than one language.
- Think about students vs. teachers. Applicants can apply as a student or a teacher; keep field wording general enough to make sense for both, or use clear labels.
After an application is submitted
Submitted applications appear in Applications, where you review the answers and make a decision.
