Audit Log

The Audit log (under Configuration) is a read-only record of important write actions in your school — useful for accountability, support, and tracing how something got into its current state.

What's recorded

Write actions by administrators and teachers are logged, such as:

  • Creating, updating, or deleting courses.
  • Membership and role changes.
  • Grading submissions.
  • School configuration changes.

Each entry captures what action happened, which entity it affected, who did it, and when — and, where relevant, the before/after values.

Using the log

  • The view is paginated; scroll back through history.
  • Use it to answer "who changed this?" or "when did this happen?"
  • It is read-only — entries cannot be edited or deleted, which is what makes it trustworthy.

Impersonation by Weblearnia staff

If Weblearnia support ever needs to step into your school to help (impersonation), the start and stop of that session is audit-logged, and any changes are attributed to the staff member who made them. This keeps support transparent.

Tips

  • When investigating an issue, note the time and entity to narrow your search.
  • Pair the audit log with the relevant feature page (e.g. a course) to understand a change in context.
