Notifications
Weblearnia keeps you informed through three channels. This guide explains what you get, where to find it, and how to tune it. It applies to every role.
The three channels

The in-app feed always records every notification. Email and push are sent in addition, based on your preferences.
What you might be notified about
- Lecture reminders — before a lecture begins (your school sets the lead times, often around an hour and again shortly before).
- Application decision — when an application is approved or denied.
- Assignment graded — when a teacher returns your grade.
- New assignment — when a teacher posts an assignment in your course.
- Submission received — teachers are notified when a student submits.
- Billing issues — when a payment fails or an invoice needs attention.
- Announcements — school-wide messages from administrators.
Which of these you see depends on your role.
Reading and clearing notifications
- Click the bell to see recent notifications in a popover.
- Open the Notifications page for the full list.
- Selecting a notification takes you to the relevant page (the lecture, the assignment, the invoice, and so on).
- Notifications are marked as read when you open them.
Enabling push notifications
- Install the app (see Getting Started) or use a supported browser.
- When prompted, allow notifications.
- If you dismissed the prompt, you can re-enable notifications from your browser's site settings.
If enabling push fails (for example, your browser blocks it), Weblearnia tells you — you can still rely on in-app and email.
Choosing what you receive
You can turn channels on or off (for example, keep in-app but mute email). Announcements from administrators may still reach you regardless of per-type settings, but they always respect a channel you have switched off.
Notes for administrators
Administrators have an additional Notification settings page that controls school-wide behaviour — such as lecture-reminder lead times and whether assignment notifications are sent. That is different from your personal notification feed. See the admin guide Notification Settings.
