Linking Children (Guardianship)
To monitor a child you must be linked to them by a guardianship connection. This guide explains how those links work.
What a guardianship link is
A guardianship connects a parent to a student, scoped to a specific school. It's what lets you see that child's schedule, attendance, grades, and billing — and nothing belonging to other children.
Key points:
- One parent can be linked to many children.
- One child can have multiple guardians (e.g. both parents).
- Links are per school, so a child at two schools is handled separately at each.
How links are created
Guardianship links are set up by the school's administrator. This commonly happens during admissions — the application can capture parent/contact details — and the administrator creates the link so the parent account can see the child.
You generally don't create the link yourself; the school does, then you sign in and see the child.
Getting connected
- Make sure you have a Weblearnia account (sign in with your email or Google on the school's web address).
- Ask the school's administrator to link you to your child as a guardian.
- Once linked, your child appears in your child selector on the Overview.
Privacy
You can only ever see children you're explicitly linked to. The platform enforces this — there's no way to view another family's data.
