Attendance
Weblearnia records attendance automatically based on who actually joins each live lecture, so you don't have to take a roll call.
How attendance is captured
A student is marked present for a lecture when they join the room. This happens:
- When they join the live room directly, or
- When you admit them from the lobby (admitting also records their attendance, since there's no separate join event in that case).
Attendance records when a participant joined and how long they stayed.
Where to see it
Attendance for a lecture is available on the lecture/course surfaces. It feeds:
- Your view of who attended each session.
- Parents' monitoring of their children's attendance.
- The teaching hours used for payouts (based on completed lectures).
Tips
- If you use the lobby, remember that admitting a student is what records them — don't leave students waiting.
- Encourage students to join through Weblearnia (not a side channel) so attendance is captured.
