Teacher Getting Started

As a teacher you run live lectures, share materials, set and grade assignments, and track your teaching hours. This guide introduces your workspace and links to the details.

Your sidebar

  • Dashboard — your upcoming lectures and what needs attention.
  • Schedule — your weekly calendar of lectures.
  • My courses — the courses you lead or teach.
  • Library — materials across your courses.
  • Grading — your queue of submissions to grade.
  • Hours & rate — your accrued teaching hours and pay rate.
  • Notifications — your notification feed.

Becoming a teacher at a school

An administrator gives you a teacher role at the school (sometimes after a teacher application and interview). Once you have the role and are assigned to a course, that course appears under My courses and its lectures appear on your Schedule.

If you also hold another role (such as parent), use the role switcher to act as a teacher.

Your day-to-day

  1. Before class: prepare materials and post assignments.
  2. At class time: join the live lecture from your dashboard or schedule.
  3. After class: the recording (if you enabled it) becomes available; attendance is recorded automatically.
  4. Ongoing: grade submissions from your queue.
  5. Monthly: check your hours and rate.

The course page

Each of your courses has a single page shared by all roles. As a teacher you can edit content inline — add materials, create assignments, write notes — and edit or cancel individual lectures. Structural changes (course details, schedule, enrollments) are handled by administrators.
