Materials
Materials are the resources you share with students. You attach them to a course (available throughout the course) or to a specific lecture (tied to that session).
Types of material
- Link — a URL to an external resource.
- File — a document you upload (e.g. PDF).
- Video — a video resource.
- Image — an image.
- Audio — an audio file (useful for pronunciation, recitation models, music).
- Text — a written note shown inline.
Each material has a title and optional notes; non-text types point to a URL or an uploaded file.
Adding a material
- Open the course (or a specific lecture) page.
- Add a material and choose its type.
- For file/image/audio/video, upload the file — it's stored securely and served to students via a time-limited link.
- For a link, paste the URL. For text, write the content.
- Save.
A material belongs to either a course or a lecture — not both. Choose course-level for general resources and lecture-level for session-specific ones.
Where students find them
Materials appear on the course/lecture page for enrolled students and in the shared Library. Parents of enrolled students can see relevant materials too.
Tips
- Keep titles descriptive so they're easy to find later in the Library.
- Attach lecture-specific materials (e.g. today's slides) to the lecture; put reusable references on the course.
- Mind file sizes and use allowed types; large media uploads take longer.
